New to the board
Hello to everyone,
new to the board, I have been living in Spruce Grove for a couple years now, just got back into fishing mode after a couple years of downtime. Origionally from Meadow Lake sask, have seen a couple people posting that they are from around that area, Hello to you to!
Wondering if there are any good walleye lakes around within a couple hours, that i can take my zodiac on. Its only 10' with electric, havent got a gas motor yet.
any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to the board.
Pigeon lake and buck lake south of edmonton and lesser slave to the north are both known to be good walleye lakes. If you're in a 10 footer I would suggest pigeon or buck as they are smaller and less volatile lakes and can both be good walleye fishing. Slave can get ugly quick.. Good luck out there and tight lines.

Ya.... nothin like moving from a place where half an hour away i could limit out on 4-5 lb walleye in a couple hours and catch 10-15 lb jacks all day long, (waterhen lake), to somewhere where all i see is rainbows and hammerhandles.
if you want to know where to fish on that lake let me know.

Havent been to keeley in years, Canoe lake is a good lake, i used to go up to the Dillon river in the early summer and jsut past the bridge, you can catch a ton of 6-10lb walleye in a matter of minutes, literally every cast.

Pigeon is good, but if the winds pick up a bit I go to Battle Lake instead. The fishing can be hit or miss but it's a much more protected lake for smaller boats.

Welcome to the board
I'm not from Meadow, but I have family up there so I'm usually headed that way every few months.
Like you already said, kinda sucks moving from an area with wicked fishing to...well...here.
Not that the fishing here is bad, it's just different
