Is it just me or are the Flames the worst playoff team in NHL history.
Besides 3 runs to the finals and 1 Cup it's nothing but a string of 1 st round exits by this team?
Maybe it's because they don't have a veteran like Martin Gelinas?..
How can they do this to their goalie game after game.....I have never seen a total lack of defensive effort in my life.
56 shots last game....now almost 50 again?
The only good player on the ice is Smith....the rest are just sucking really really BAD!
It's embarrassing to watch.

95% of Flames shots are from outside and no threat.
95 % of AVS shots are scoring chances.
Almost 50 shots again.....
Flames season is finished!

Since 1989 they are one of the worst teams in the league. With only 4 series wins I believe.

Flames were in retreat mode the whole 3rd period. Hard to swing momentum when you are not attacking. Nothing from Johnny and company and Gio does not look like the Norris Trophy winner like he did all season.
If this goes past 2 minute into overtime, Colorado will win. Calgary needs to strike hard and fast because they have no answer right now for the sustained forecheck of Colorado.

Especially considering about 20 seconds before, with the puck behind the net, Cole takes down the Calgary forward, looked like his stick was stuck in his skates, no call.
Wonder if a make up call is coming quickly in OT.

I still cannot get over the non call at end of 3rd?
The NHL needs a video review and challenge for non-calls.
The ref was watching and the stick was right in his face.
It reminds of Game 6 in Calgary in 2004 when they clearly scored and the goal was dissallowed.
Bettman doesn't want the Cup going to a small market team from Canada ....and that is that....

Reffing is so bad, Hathaway nails Barrie, who didn't have the puck, no call, Neil crosschecks buddy into the boards, no call on that either.
