If you want a quick light attachment that would hang under the barrel and leave NO permanent changes to the gun yet when mounted stay solidly attached check these pic rail attachments from Harris. They pin on through your sling swivel stud and seem to lock pretty solid
Get a good 1" flash light and mount with low 1" ring of your choice. Best part is no permanent change to your firearm
There are rings to be had that have rail section on top this combined with a light with quick detach mount should solve the issue. Being a bit particular about my rifles I would't want any rail sections on them imho. To solve this I keep an ugly 870 with a light mount under my camp cot loaded with brenneke slugs with a couple nonleathal slugs on a receiver mounted shell holder to give me some options.
