Default Travel medical insurance for treatments in the US.

So, my wife and I are taking our son to see a Doctor in Washington DC. Depending on diagnosis, he may or may not need an intravenous treatment. And I pay for all that. But I am concerned with any complications with the treatment after that, such as infection, or allergic reaction, and the costs associated with that.

Has anyone gone through this, or have any leads on post treatment insurance? I’m not having any luck with the standard travel insurance providers.

That could be a really sticky situation, as it would fall under complications due to pre existing condition. I don't know what to advise on that, just that you are probably correct in saying that regular travel insurance isn't the right product to cover you. Maybe call Blue Cross?
