Fawn distress sounds would be a good option on an electronic call for the wolf hunters.

Did I miss something?
Was there any mention of adding a muzzleloader/blackpowder season in October in certain WMU's?

Perhaps you are thinking of one of the resolutions from the AF&GA. (totally different from SRD's proposed changes)
That resolution was for a "primitive weapons" type season between the Archery and rifle seasons.
It was part of a strange combination resolution and the whole mess was tabled.

has anyone heard..
Walking Buffalo posted back in June, that the SRD "wasn't planning to procede with the priority-cap for the 2011 draws.." EXCEPT for possibly Trophy Sheep
Now, reguarding the recently posted "expected" changes, by Rocky.. I didn't see any mention of the priority-cap issue, not even for the sheep - does a guy assume that that's all been put on the back-burner for this season?? ...or might they still have some announcements coming reguarding???
...has anyone got a better handle on "that" info?

There will be NO changes to sheep hunting in 2011, other than the couple I mentioned.
On that note expect some changes for 2012. There was population study done this winter and things aren't perfect. They are just putting the data together now and expect a few of their findings to be announced in the coming weeks.
There was some stuff announced yesterday at the Wild Sheep Foundation of Alberta meetings, but basically they just said no changes for 2011.
