glenmore is pretty much free on the right of rowing club, water is really murky and shallow tho, you are gonna drag up a lot of dead weeds. Gave up after an hr or so, didnt see anyone else catch either

Wabamun ice is degrading fast with the heat and wind. Already staring to move around a bit. If the forecast is right I would think it would be gone by the mid next week ... that's my guess LOL

Couple of pics from yesterday.

I've heard the same, I don't have high hopes for this year though the fishing can be good off the kayak. I do use the reservoir to estimate ice out at other southern waterbodies though. Starting to see lots of open water.

Crawling Valley was 2/3 ice on Tuesday but less than 1/3 Wednesday afternoon so I'm sure it's open now. I can't imagine McGregor is any different.

Meadow Lake area lakes are still solid. 2’ of water around the edges.

I was out for a drive yesterday and although I didn’t fish, I was walking the dog around for about an hour. The lake was calm and bugs were out, didn’t see a single fish rise. There was claim that it was stocked with 40,000 rainbows. I think the stocking trucks took a wrong turn somewhere and went to Chain Lake instead. About 20 people fishing, no fish caught by anyone I talked with. It should be stocked again soon I would think.

Drove past half moon north of Bon Accord today and looks like ice is gone. Campsite gate was closed so i could not get to the water but a cabin owner told me there are lots of perch floating.

Default Calling lake

Calling was completely ice covered yesterday. A little bit of open water around the shore.

By Sunday evening the west end was mostly open.
East 2/3 of the lake still pretty white and probably 2 - 3 days behind but you should be good to go by next weekend.
