Default Boat Launch Help

Hey everyone,

For those who have fished at Pine Lake (near Red Deer): What do you recommend for a good boat launch, public if possible?

My son and I are planning our first trip on the labor day weekend, and have never fished that lake before. We will be coming from the Hwy 21 side, so north part of the lake would be best.

I don't mind paying, but don't want to experiment with all the campgrounds when dying to get on the water. Is there one who just charges you a day fee, and has decent close parking for the truck and trailer ?

I had heard that there was a government launch somewhere on the north end ?

In return I promise some pics of monster Walleye and Hammer Handles

Thanks in advance.

going on pine lake on a long weekend trying to fish..not such a good idea IMO
we used to have a seasonal spot at leisure and we wouldnt even attempt to go out in the boat, theres way to many for the size of the lake, we even saw a jet boat crash into an aluminum boat

Pine Lake is a zoo on a long weekend, very much a recreational lake. However, there is a public boat launch just before Leisure Campground.
