Default First Stillwater Cutty Session of 2013

Ice has just come off up a little higher. Beautiful day in the mountains. Things started off sunny and very calm which was very surprising for a mid May outing. The wind picked up in the afternoon and the fishing did too. Not the best day on the lake, but we still managed a few. Some fish rose before the wind come up, and a few Bulls were spotted cruising the shallows. Things will just get better. The Mountain Chironomid took most of the fish on this day. Enjoy some pictures from the trip.

Dace

Very nice!!
Do you fish these static with an indicator, or with very slow retrieve? I've never tried chironomid but it looks like I really should!
