Default NHL All Star Game.

Not a bad game, watching the big boys play in slow motion. The idiot they had screaming and swearing at half time was an embarrassment to to the NHL though.

Disgusting exhibition at half time. Sure changed the family friendly attitude that used to be the NHL.

Have u been to a game lately?

Bunch of drunk adults swearing like crazy.. my kid (and me) learnt some new words at the last couple I've been to.. NHL is not a family friendly game to spectate live.
I only take my kids to hitmen games now, pretty much the family friendly game NHL used to be.

I agree in regards to hearing a lot of foul language at games. Took my 12 year old daughter to the Leafs/Oilers game before Xmas. 2 guys we were sitting beside it seemed every second word was a swear word. The guy sitting next to me did apologize once but then 2 minutes later was right back to swearing again. I’m sure my daughter has heard them all at school anyways but she doesn’t need to hear them in every sentence that is spoken. I watched green day and it seemed to me that the broadcast was ready for the swears in his songs to me it sounded like they had them bleeped out but that doesn’t help the people at the game watching live. It was his cursing to get the crowd revved up that the TV broadcast weren’t ready for. I don’t think he will be getting a call back to play at any NHL event anytime soon.

The one that gets me is you pay for a seat and yet you stand then the people behind stand too.....

200 bucks plus for a seat my arse is in it!

Then you get the spill over rather overweight person that is wedge in and on your lap......

To me the game is a joke. Just a shooting gallery against the goalies. Sure, some of the best talent and the highest paid the NHL has to offer all in one arena at the same time. The best part of the All Star Fiasco is the skills competition.
That is the only part worth watching. I would rather listen to Green Day than watch that game in slow motion.

Default NHL All star game

I hope the NHL is throughly embarrassed by the half time show they went with. That clown that was “entertaining” the crowd should have been escorted off the ice by a couple of the players and beaten with their sticks under the stands. I wonder how much money it cost to have him put on his “show”?

What are you talking about? Go to a game and sit close enough to the ice and listen to the 20 or so f bombs the players drop during a game. Lol.
The whole all star format is garbage anyway.

Agree mostly. I watched the skills competition on Friday evening. The fastest skater and hardest shot were the best. The shooting the puck off of a platform out of the stands I thought to be real gimmicky. Glad I went fishing I was likely more entertained staring down an ice hole instead of watching 3 on 3 hockey.

I like the 3 on 3 OT during regular season. I find it very exciting. 3 on 3 in an All Star game is very ho hum to me. The whole all star format is ho hum for me though and I’m unsure what kind of format would make me want to tune in quite frankly...

Yes 3 on 3 for 5 minutes to settle a tie is fun to watch. Maybe select a team of all stars and play a game against the Stanley cup champions, like they used to do.

Over the years but years ago I coached some 3 on 3 teams that were Atom, Peewee and Bantam kids that were way more entertaining than that. These kids would have given them a good run. Played with way more heart and determination. 3 on 3 is awesome to watch when you give it all you got. NHL JOKE what a shame

Since this is really a "non-game" situation for the NHL, it actually makes sense that they wouldn't be playing with much heart or determination. If anything it's a light-hearted environment to have some fun with guys that they are usually competing against in their own division. What pro wants to go all out in a game that amounts to "shinny hockey" and risk injuring themselves or another player leading up to the playoffs? I'm sure that the owners/gm/coaching staff ensure that this wont happen.

The all-star game is pretty much like a charity game, no serious hockey will be played.

The electronic shading behind the puck in the Women's game and some points in the men's game was totally stupid in my opinion.

It didn't work when Fox (I think) tried it 20 years ago and still does not work now. Makes the game unwatchable for me.
