Default Star Trek: Picard... whatcha think?

Watched the first show. Not wowed however. I will watch hopefully to see if it grows on me.

I really want a new Star Trek show to watch.

What do others think?

Couldn't stand the "NOW ON FREE PREVIEW CTV SCI FI" on the screen so changed the channel.

Hard to tell at this point. Not quite what i was expecting. Id probably watch it anyway even if the story line doesnt improve much. Thats what Trekkies do isnt it? Theres been more than one Star Trek i didnt really like that much but ive seen them all anyhow.

I liked it. I knew that with Stewart being in his late 80’s it wasn’t going to be an action packed ‘on the deck of a starship’ affair.
It’s going to be about substance and wrapping up his life sort of thing...and I’m fine with that.
But yeah that banner at the bottom of the screen was a ****er.

I liked it and will watch it again. Very interesting effects that are well done. Be great to see some of the old crew from next generation make a few appearances

Star Trek Discovery is an awesome show. Probably the best that they have come out with.

I'm going to have to watch a few episodes before I decide.

While I didn't know what to expect, I found it kind of................thin.

I was expecting more substance somehow and felt like I didn't get it. I'm hoping that another two or three episodes will get me more involved. As it stands, the first episode didn't grab me and leave me waiting on the edge of my seat for the next episode.

What banner are you guys talking about? I didn't see no stinking banner!

If you watched it on the CTV scifi channel it appears randomly announcing that you are receiving CTV scifi as a free preview...…..so you will subscribe

Well, considering that reviews on both IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes stand at 85% and higher...I’ll stand by my 👍

Enjoyed it, but agree it was very slow and the dual android plot was a bit lame. Also no mention or references to "Lal" was a bit odd, but maybe coming yet? Looking forward to where it goes, but may wait until a few more get released, I am used to binge watching shows thanks to streaming services.

Sir Patrick is still a rather spry 79 years old, but definitely showing his age.

Not enthralled with today’s episode. Kinda feels like a lame soap opera so far. Plot is slow and laboured. Who cares if romulans hate androids. Get over it.

Still...if androids were as cute as this one...the human race would go extinct and nobody would care about viruses.

I was on my computer in the living room while my wife watched it (she's a big TNG fan from way back, me not so much).

I didn't pay too much attention, but all the vineyard scenes made me want to drink wine.
