Question Seeking advice.

Hello to all, my name is Vaughn and I'm working on a wilderness survival novel set in the Canadian wilderness with a trapper/hunter as the stories protagonist trying to save a small group of people that happened to survive a small plane twin engine plane crash by getting them back to his cabin to his HAM radio, all while being hunted by a large predator he had originally been hunting because it seemingly kills people and animals simply for sport . But as I'm in the southern US (so says the name) and a low income amateur novelist earning minimum wage, it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to visit to gain first hand knowledge despite yearning to do so. Now cutting to the chase I'm asking any and everyone for their experiences in on the job as well as what exactly the job entails, as long as it's not too much trouble to ask I'd truly appreciate as much information you all are willing to offer. Thank you,
Vaughn Yarber
P.S. I'm still working on the plot of the story so if you have tips for that as well I'd love to hear them...well read them lol and thank you all again.

Ahh yes the elusive bush woman. The survivors of the crash are trying to keep warm in the freezing blizzard. When the voluptuous bush woman wearing a bikini made from her last victim's flesh appears. They think they're saved but when she gets closer they notice all the time she spent in the woods without soap, tooth brush, Starbucks and her cell phone has made her blood thirsty.

Chapter 2 to come soon.

P.s. no offense to the lovely ladies of the outdoors!!!!
