Default Glass bedding savage model 10

Hey guys I'm going to be bedding my savage model 10 predator in 22-250 tomorrow, ive searched a few forums and my devcon plastic steel is coming and ill be going to get some modelling clay to fill in recesses in the morning. My question for you guys is that to get a proper bed on the rear action screw do I need to take the trigger assembly off? It seems pretty easy to take off. Just one pin. But if there's anything I'm missing please let me know. Also, while I was doing my research, I found quite a few different things that guys are using as release agents, from shoe or car wax to cooking spray, if you'd like to say what you use for this crucial step I would appreciate it!

Kiwi Neutral Shoe Polish. Trust me. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way.

I've used most of the common release agents as well as the Acraglas release, and much prefer floor wax as a release agent.

Yes, take the trigger off. Only one pin but under pretty good spring tension.
