Default Air Rifles

Just curious as to how many are in to air rifles ..or thinking of it.
It looks like some of the latest products are really accurate.

I just purchased a Weihbraut HW97 KT in .177. It sure looks good to 50 yds. I notice a couple of other guys on here with new air rifles. Anybody else ?

The Air Arms TX200 was certainly in the running. It came down to a coin toss between it and the HW 97. Both are top tier as near as I could tell. Still not sure of my choice of .177. Time will tell as I was looking for a target rifle exclusively.

If you’re primarily using it for target, .177 is the right choice. Biathlon, Olympic and International shooting competition are all .177...so by far the selection of match grade pellets are in .177.

I used to compete with and still have my old Feinwerkbau 601 .177 with a x4 power scope.
I also had Walther and Anschutz, but Fein was always my favorite.

Weirauch 100 s pre-charge is the best . 60+ shots per fill . 11 round mag. Zero recoil and supper accurate and will reach as far as you are capable off learning to shoot with it.

I have the same hw in .177. Crazy accurate and great for my pest control. I’m going to compliment mine with either a .22 or .25. Not sure if Springer or pcp. Although now some of these new PCP come regulated which nullifies my concerns from previous PCP’s I’ve owned.

How is everyone filling there air for their pcp’s. Use to get mine done at a paintball store. Cheap enough just a pain. Can’t justify buying a compressor. Not cheap

not as snazzy as some of those rigs, but I have/use a Diana 24 in .22 for pest control. By "pest control" I mean barn pigeons. Doesn't need to be 50 yard accurate, 20 does just fine. lol It actually shoots about a 3/4" group at 40 yards which is plenty accurate for my needs...so I haven't really gotten serious about accuracy testing.

If you go with a .25 you’re better off with a pcp, there’s not much out there for .25 in springers plus lower velocity.

I’m running a hill mk4 hand pump because I can’t justify a tank, there’s a few places in Edmonton to fill the larger scba tanks for fairly cheap

I'm not big into them, but I have a couple nice springers. A Beeman R9 in .177, and a Diana 34 in .22. Both Excellent, the R9 is a little buzzy, but slightly more accurate, at least with the limited pellets, and shooting I've done.

I like the more traditional air rifles, and not too heavy. Something similar to what I packed around as a kid for a 1000 miles or so

I just punch paper with both of them, but I'm sure the Diana would hit a little harder. Salavee, I think you definitely made the right call on 177 for target shooting, just damn tiny for picking up to load.
