Default Athabasca fishing prospects

I am moving to Athabasca area this year and was wondering about the lakes and streams to fish in and the types of fish that are caught.
Let me know by posting or pm me with some information.
Only ever caught perch in AB somewhere north of Vermilion.
thanks

Lots of lakes around Athabasca, Slave is not too far to go to as well from there. And a gem of a river runs right through town. Pike, Walleye and Perch. Some stocked trout lakes. Whites in some lakes too. Can find most species in the river too.

LUCKY you!!!

You have all the Boyle - LLB Lakes to the East,

A Couple really good lakes north on 813,

Some trout fishing at Chain Lake, then a blob of good lakes to the west starting with Baptiste, Upper Chain, Ghost, Meyer, Lawrence, etc.

West in the bush past Baptiste is Francis, Banana, etc.

Then there is the river itself after the spring run off, that goes right into October ....

I thought it was in the bag but it turns out someone wanted to spend 20 grand more than I did. So we will try again further north. Retired = flexible on everything but price. thanks for the pm's guys.
