This is a post that makes me think you know more about German pornography than hockey.

Darryl, Darryl Sutter? Is that you?

Brandon is going to be an absolute STUD in the next couple of years! If the hip holds up, he could very well be the next Stevie Stamkos.

Brandon is going to be a good D-Man in the near future but no Stamkos. If Gormley scored the goals Stamkos did he would be the first since Paul Coffey to put up those numbers.

X 10 Just think Edmonton needed a great center to build around "Seguin" but no they take Taylor Hall and his agent I believe is Bobby Orr so the way the Oil flows I say Boston has them both within 24 months.

I think TreeGuy confused Gormley with Connolly.

That's why we hate Chris Pronger. I don't think we'll have a repeat of the same unfortunate situation again.

Even though I'm a Flames fan I wish the Oilers all the best with their new pick. A better team up north means better competition for the Flames and that will hopefully elevate their game also. I saw it happen in the early 80's and I hope it happens again. Competition is always welcome.

Well said. If the Oilers are smart, they will give Hall and their other top prospects another year to develop (in the NHL or elsewhere) instead of putting a lot of pressure on them right away, suck for another year and get another high draft pick. Then they can make a run for it in the future years, like Chicago and Pittsburg.
I think you might be onto something guys. Fishman the only thing with your idea is that another sucky year for the Oilers would be painful to take for any Oilers fans out there. I'm not sure they'd want to see a potential superstar be put on hold for a year. But if they had patience I think your right they could end up with a couple great young players. Just like some eastern team we know called the Blackhawks. Look what happened to them.

THere is a real strong possibility that out of Omark, MPS, Hall and Eberle 3/4 are in the line up as rookies
The Oil will not win a ton of games this year but IMO these guys are better off competing against the pros .... eberle I can see going to the Ahl but omark and Mps played in the swedish elite league so I think are NHL ready and Hall either goes back to Jr or stays with the club...( no way he goes back )
