Default Beregr bullet info?????

I was wondering if anyone had any load data for .308 winchester using the 190 VLD match grade hunting bullet?
I know it will be in the new berger load book, but I cant find one anyplace.
If someone has load data for this bullet in .308 win Or if they have the book
could they relay to me the info from it.
Thanks

Don't understand why you need load data for this bullet only. 190 gr 30 cal bullets are not uncommon, and load data is load data. Start low and work up carefully.

I agree with Dale.

I have a copy of the Berger data and have compared it to the Hodgdon data for the Hdy BTSP.
Berger - 190 Berger #30414 w IMR 4064 start = 37.5gr max = 41.0gr
Hodgdon - 190 Hdy BTSP w IMR 4064 start = 39.4gr max = 43.7Cgr

IMHE my rifle really groups well just under Hodgdon max but well over Berger max, no signs of over pressure, YMMV.

After comparing several Hodgdon loads with similar Berger suggestions, ISTM that the Berger loads are consistently well under the similar Hodgdon loads. This may be due to lawyers or Bergers loaded much closer to the lands.

Start low and work up carefully, and keep very good records.

Good Luck, YMMV

I did the same thing and when I found out the info I was looking for there was considerable different in charge weights from the berger and other manuals.

So many things can change load data. Even if you had the same receiver/barrel combo as used in a particular load manual you results will vary. Barrel twist rate, number of grooves, chrome moly or stainless, and length all create different pressures and velocities. Seating depth and neck clearance differences will also change internal ballistics. Make note of barrel length used. This one woke me up loading for a 6.5X47Lapua. Using Berger load manual (24" 1:8 barrel) for my 30" 1:8 twist resulted in a primer with a hole blown through it.
