It's never a bad idea to buy another gun. If the thought crossed your mind... git 'er done.

On my third 22WMR. Love the caliber. Started with a Ruger 96/22M but had to get rid of it due to arthritis in my hand. Went to a Remington 597/22M but found the clips needed too much cleaning/maintenance.
Got a CZ 512/22M in the spring and it has been great. (tough to find 10rd clips).
The beauty of the 22WMR is, for me, its versatility. I can be shooting gophers and, if a Coyote gets curious, I can knock him down too.
I am constantly on the lookout for discounted ammo and bought my last 2 bricks of CCI maximag for $10/box. Definitely a caliber to have.

I own a Marlin XT .22mag and it's awesome. I have the bull barrel in stainless and love it. Very accurate rifle. I did however like any .22 have to try out different ammo to see what it liked. 34g JHP Winchester & 30g Hornady.

My vote is to get a .22 Mag. The round really impressed me! I'm actually moving back to Alberta in a couple weeks and can't wait to get er out gopher hunting!!!!

Great input everyone, thanks for the help, I'll be buying one this week before I go to the farm this weekend. I want to stay away from bolt action and magizines, tube feed Henry will fit my open sight love perfectly.
