Default Bore Sighting a Lever Action

Hey everyone I was told a few different options with bore sighting my blr. The first was to pick up a laser bore sighter. The second was to shoot paper at 25 yards and then sight the cross hairs of the scope to the bullet mark and then fine sight at 100 yards. What is your guys' s thoughts.

Option #2. Simple and nothing to buy.

Killswitch - the matching crosshair to bullet hole pretty much needs a second set of hands to be done effectively. Don't get too complicated...big piece of paper at 25M and adjust accordingly. Just remember click adjustments need to be multiplied by four at 25M. Shoot one, adjust and shoot again ...sometimes a third round is required at 25M. Then, move to a big paper at 100M. Usually another three shots easily gets you where you want to be.
