I suspect that the proposed Senate Bill will/has died on the order paper, but will most probably be reintroduced in the next Parliament after the fall election.

I suggest that all shooters write a polite letter to this Senator, and with copies to Justin T. and Tom M. and the nominated LPC and other candidates in their riding. Include a link to this Senators page and the proposed Senate Bill and notify them that the $100 you had planned to donate to them would instead be directed to the NFA or CSSA or CPC.

Clearly state that you are a single issue motivated voter, and will never vote for any party or candidate that supports the continuation or expansion of the Bill C-68 Firearms Act.

If you really want to make an impression, include a copy of your donation receipt.

Note that if you donate to the CPC you will receive a $75 tax credit so your cost will only be $25.

Actions speak louder than words on a forum.

Good Luck, YMMV.

Already being discussed here:
http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread.php?t=257992

Read our dear senators words, she's either a total loon, or she's actually on our side, after all who else would remove all doubt, and use all the key buzz words and phrases in the most asinine manner?

Sadly I think it's the former.

He's a senator from Quebec, enough said. Even the Supreme court Judges from there, buy into this crap. Parliament and the Senate operate on different agendas, election is not a factor.

It`s all Mick Jagger`s fault.
And yes writing a letter to that "pretty haired drama teacher" on any gun issue would definitely create a gag reflex.

Are you saying that Mick bred Margaret? The lips just don't do it justice. Naaw, I think that Pierre nailed her....but she was thinking about Mick. Either way, a short timely fall into a mountain lake woulda been awesome.

I had read it and yes, it is garbage.
She has almost no clue to what she's speaking of.
-Change terminology to alleviate "fear"? Come on.
-How many shootings, in the states or Canada are done with legally owned guns? Our latest was done with (what would be if she had her way) a "hunting" rifle.
-centre Fire semi-auto rifles aren't hunting rifles?
-guess what... A rimfire will kill a human just fine
Seriously, what does she think any benefits of this bill would be?

Then for fun, conspiratorial....
What would happen if an infiltration terrorist attack (not that far fetched) ever occurred, we would be one helpless nation. Or hell zombies!!!!
Not an educated argument, but for an uneducated bill proposal..why not

Justin Jagger?

Justin Richards?

In her day Maggs was shagable...... she probably got tired of PET-ing Trudeau and went out on the town to roll some stones...

Default people don't kill people - guns do?!?

When was the last time a gun committed a crime?

And last I heard less than two percent of all gun crimes in canada - not just homicides - were committed by a legal firearms owners.

Man you guys are all wrong. Didn't you read it guns kill people not people. I have to keep my guns locked up away from the locked ammo otherwise who knows when one of the guns will try and escape and go on a shooting spree. And my restricted guns are even smarter so I have to keep them double locked.
It's people like this that make me embarrassed to be from the same country as them.
