Default What Military Pants do you use?

I am getting frustrated of the some carhartt pants that only last 4-6 mouths and now looking towards a better pant for hunting and work. I have a friend that swears by the US military pant for everything and he heads right to the worse of the worse for hunting in the bush. So do you use them? How are they for you? How long have they lasted!

Buy CDN DND surplus.

It may not look as pretty, but guaranteed durable.

Considering how much the Liberals give our military,
you know that they need to last a few decades.

Good idea, then you can donate them back to the Army next time a Trudeau is in power!

I wear Dickies, not quite the fit of Carhartts but nicely priced. You can order right off their web site.

Get the FR rated carharts. They outlive the energizer bunny.

Outside of work I used to get the Canadian military surplus. Started buying Proppers and I've now settled on 5.11 tac pants. Most comfortable by far. Just don't put them in the dryer.

Default pants

Early fall, Dickies in tan.
In winter, surplus swiss wool army pants. Dont wash or machine dry. Let them dry naturally and brush off dirt/blood etc.

My two favourite (must have) pieces of Canadian Military kit......Gortex bibs and fleece shirt. The fleece pants work well under the bibs too.

I just picked random pictures off the internet. You can find some good deals on ebay from recently retired Soldiers as opposed to dealers selling worn out surplus. The newer type fleece is digital camo. During the winter if you spend a lot of time in the bush, trapping, sledding, or whatever, you can't beat those bibs.......durable, warm and waterproof.
