Help the CFP get your renewal and other notices to you on time.

The Firearms Act gives you 30 days to notify the CFP of a change of address. You can update your address in one of three ways:

Online:
Update your information by accessing Individual Web Services.

You will need your firearms licence number and other personal information to confirm your identity.

By telephone:
1-800-731-4000

By writing:
Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Canadian Firearms Program
PO Box 1200
Miramichi, NB E1N 5Z3

Wayne I would have to assume this is the address even though it is in reference to an address change it is also speaking about renewals.

the one on their site that I saw was for general inquiries " RCMP Canadian Firearms Program
Ottawa ON
K1A 0R2
but I dont think thats the one I need. I talked to someone on the phone last week who told me about the photo not being good enough but they were in Manitoba. how the hell are we supposed to be responsible owners if they make it so difficult to get an address. btw waited online half an hour this morning then got booted off.

I used to have the phone number for my provincial local and they were much easier to deal with then the Feds. As usual, it all depends who picks up the phone. I sure had way better conversations with the gals that worked in the Alberta office, although I did get several people down east that had their heads screwed on straight too. All I can tell you is take a deep breath and be nice, or they will put you on the purple alert list, and it takes awhile to get off it, ask me how I know lol

Chief Firearms Officer
979 St. James Street
Winnipeg, MB R3H 0X2

Fax: 204-984-0670

no phone number given that I can see yet, 731-4000, can transfer you to your provincial cfo, not sure if they will give you a number.

PS, I thought you were in Alberta?

Had the same issue as you are encountering. Took 8 months and 6 days from initial application to final receipt of card.Hope you you get yours sooner .I went to the trouble of sending second picture by registered mail to have a paper trail.

You can just email it to them. You get a confirmation email back saying they received it.
