Default Advice on Sendero 7MM RemMag Factory Ammo?

Good day Fellow AOs!
I'm looking for some of your advice on what factory - off the shelf -- ammo is nice and accurate.
For a Rem 700 Sendero SFII in 7mmRemMag.
Thanks for your time!!

Try 140 gr Remington core lokts they work well in a browning and a Remington rifle of mine.

Thanks

Unfortunately, each barrel is an individual, even with the same make and model of rifle. You are going to have to try different loads in your rifle, to see which ones shoot accurately.

True dat! Looking at several boxes ranging from CoreLokt 150g and 175g for around $30 / box to perhaps those Federal 175g Trophy Bonded Tip for north of $70 / box. Fusions are somewhere in between i believe.

Any knowledge on what weights they typically like to shoot? 140s to 175s??
Thanks

I have always had good luck with accuracy and bullet performance using 160 accubonds in two of the 7 rem mags that I had. Usually pretty easy to find in factory loads.

You haven't stated what your final intention was for the ammo. Is it paper punching or hitting gongs at long range? Or is it for a hunting round. Personally for hunting rounds, I've always preferred heavy for caliber with the cup and core bullets. My best were 175 gr Speer Grand Slams over some H870 powder which is no longer available but could be replaced with Retumbo, with new load development of course. I can't comment on factory rolled ammo as I don't use it unless it's a rimfire.

Nosler with the 168 grain ABLR or the 150 grain partition makes a great accurate load in most 7 mags I have tried it in. Also. both are great bullets for deer to moose.

For straight paper punching find some thing cheap like Privi, Winchester Silver or White box 140 or 150s or Remington core-lock 150s to practice with. Try to avoid Federal, their brass is crap if you ever want to load or sell it.

I did a lot of research when developing a load for my old reminton 700 7mmRM. It appeared everyone was pleased with the results of the 160gr Accubonds. So I dont thimk you will go wrong with these.
I did buy a sendero 7mmRM and it likes the berger 168gr.

I have that very same rifle and have found 168 gr Berger to be the most an accurate. However, I have found them to be inferior bullet in performance despite all the hype! A way too much fragmentation and weight loss on impact.
Personally I use 175 gr.
