Dillon prefers to sell direct to user, (may be the future of retailing), and AFAIK does not provide retailers with substantial margin so few are prepared to keep stock.
The CA$ is rising and will hopefully continue, it may be a good time to organize a group order as I suspect Dillon may sweeten a volume purchase.
If you watch on CGN you quite often see used kits for sale at really good prices.
Bashaw Sports and Bartons in GP are the only two Alberta Dealers I know of. P and D used to carry it and they still show Dillon on their website. Might not hurt to call them to double check though.
You are right, used to be. Bought a 550 from them a few years back and they quit carrying Dillon shortly there after. I got it at a clear out price. Their story was there wan't enough demand nor big enough margins.
I bought mine from Murray Gardner in BC. Probably not the cheapest price but it was good to be able to talk to someone with lots of experience with the product and some of the extras that make things easier to get started.
I bought the case feeder, strong mount, roller handle, a couple of quick change tool heads and calibre conversion kits also.
Once I got going it was pretty easy to figure out what else I wanted later on.
