The yearly Frank Leffingwell memorial shoot is on again at the LFGA in Lethbridge, August 19th. Three classes, hunter, modified and open and 100, 200 and 300 yards. Each class cost $35.00 to enter and includes lunch.

Frank was a fine fellow . He and his wife took my older brother under their wings and taught him bench shooting . It's a good shoot . Lethbridge is lucky to have a fine range within its city

I'm sure they would let you shoot this free standing if you wanted to handi cap yourself again. I'll ask for you if you want.

I may just have to hand you a couple of rifles to build some ammo for to help get me ready for this. I think Chase enjoyed it, I know I did. I'm working nights right now with no clear end in sight.

Hi Scott, Maddie had asked that I contact you and the family to let you know. Mission accomplished.

Dee won't shoot this year. She really enjoyed Drayton Valley but not the benchreat style so much. But she'll probably come down anyway.
Yes, mission accomplished for sure. I hope I can make it. Darn work...

I have shot in the shoot a few times at its inception , however the last bunch of years my wife has holidays at the same time of year and that has trumped my shooting at that time . I do have my name on the trophy though it's a fun time and it's interesting to watch how people react under pressure of competition. I know one year a friend of mine had a rifle that would out shoot mine and me but he could not keep his nerves under control .

It sounds like fun. I just wish it wasn't a 5 hour drive one way for me.

I'm thinking that my HB .223 might just come a few ounces over the 12 lb. rule. I have to weight it on something better that a bathroom scale to find out, perhaps put it on a SlimFast diet. If it so, then a Rem 788 in triple deuce is on the bags.
