Review for newcomers

PLEASE READ!!!

You MUST give a Pif before you can claim. Do not say " I want the 'widget' and I am offering a 'widget' ." I will get the mods to delete any replies not in the correct order.

If you want to play, round up your pif's and get in the thread.

Try to keep your transactions as close as possible in value, do not take a riding lawnmower if you gave a match box car. Keep it fair for everyone.

You can give as many pif's as you wish, but do not claim more than you have given.

The giver is responsible for shipping. Please do so within 3 days of your gift being claimed. I still get the odd pm about not receiving pifs from last year.

Keep everything other than shipping addresses in the thread, pm's claiming gifts are not to be used. The format is again, give a pif, quote the reply of the item you would like, and add "I would like this please". Very simple.

Part 2
After the thread gets rolling, I will ask for ideas on who to name as the recipient of the donations.
Let's hold off the ideas until I bring it up though, please.

Have fun, and Go!

DO NOT PUT AN ASKING PRICE AND DO NOT AUCTION YOUR ITEM! You can show a value, but not demand amounts.

These are gifts.

The results are in, Stollery gets the help for the 2nd year in a row!

I will get ahold of them tomorrow, get the paperwork in place.

All donations will receive a tax deductable receipt, every donation counts as a PIF which allows the person donating to claim one PIF in return. Cash donations do not have to be claimed.

LETS MAKE THEM SOME MONEY!!!

Again, you guys are the absolute best. Please, if you can, bring in some new faces. All the money last year, about $5500.00 came from about 15 people iirc, after 40 pages pf replies and 25,000 views.

I am sure we can beat that.

Looks like it was a tie between the Childrens Hospital and the Stollery, but none the less, good on you for doing this as it is going to a great cause.

Thanks. I had to call in a donating member to make the deciding vote after deducting all the votes from people that do not participate.

I would like to put up this Alaskan bowie blade. It is from texas knife supply
1/4 " 440 stainless 9" Blade with Cryo treatment and a small moose antler. The antler base is about the right size for a bowie blade. So if anyone wants to make there own Bowie knife claim it and have at er.

I could really use these for my boat if you know someone heading down towards Lethbridge I would like to claim them. If not I guess I will have to pass on them. Do you have a pic of them that you could post or send me?

Default Yamaha PortaSound PSS-280 Organ

Here's a PIF for anyone that is musically inclined or knows someone who is. I purchased this for my daughter about 10 years ago and she might have tried it a couple of times and then gave up on it. It basically looks new. This thing does a ton of good stuff but you'll have to google it to get more info about it. I put a hockey puck in the photo in order to give you an idea of its size.

Due to the size of this electric organ I'd prefer to meet rather than ship it.

I have a brand new (in box) Delorme PN-60 handheld GPS with a bunch of extras (map software, power package etc) for PIF.

Details here:
http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread.php?t=104542

It didn't sell at $300 on here so I'll say it's worth around $250. Would cost quite a bit more to buy the whole package from the store. I won it in a draw and already have a GPS I like so I don't have much use for it. Hopefully someone can put it to use and if the Stollery benefits then that's fantastic.

Can be picked up in Beaumont/Edmonton area or I will ship it to the claimer if he/she pays for the shipping.

The ideas written were used to train my Brittany and I'd like to see them go to someone training a hunting dog.

My second PIF (because it's a different topic) is two books about wilderness survival. The first one is copyrighted 1974 titled WILDERNESS SURVIVAL A Complete Handbook and Guide for Survival in the North American Wilds by Berndt Berglund. The second is copyrighted 1976 titled WILDERNESS SURVIVAL (no author). There's lots of good stuff in both books.

Lucky Dog hunter's orange hunting vest with chest protector. It's in excellent condition but I never washed it after the dog was in the bush with it so it has dirty on it. I'm petty sure that it'd come clean in the washer if you want it nice looking before your own dog gets it all dirty....lol.

The size is LARGE (LG - Neck Under 19" Chest 27" & under Stomach 24" & under) . It fit my 45 lb Brittany well with allot of adjustment left to go.

Here's more info: http://www.gundogsonline.com/dog-ves...protector.html

All three of these PIFs are now combined into one (I offered up 4 PIFs for one item so it all works out).

Surely someone out there plans on training a Gun Dog in the future and the vest will protect him and make it easier for you to see him. The information in the wilderness survival books could potentially come in handy to you one day.
