Default New Last Receiving Dates

I really like the later last receiving date this year. I’m usually scrambling to get fur put up for the first auction but I’m not feeling any pressure this year. Better yet, the next last receiving date is a week of two after coyote season closes so there’s no big rush for that one either. The third last receiving date was a bit of an issue for me last year for Spring beaver and muskrat but this year i’ll Have more storage space to hold on to them until October. That fur goes into the first auction, not the summer one. Except for the early (for me) third last receiving date I really like it.

What say yee? Are you going to burn the midnight oil to get your fur put up in time or just plug away and get what you can get done and put the rest into the second auction?

I dunno, but it is midnight now, so what does that mean? If I get another drying rack going then I can stretch 40 a day and I might get it done.

I like the new dates as well Dave , problem is its gonna give Marty enough time to completely flood the market with the big catches he has had .Probably drop the price in the process ..lol .. Good seeing you yesterday Marty , thanx for your help .

Still the same, they were mid December last season.

I like the new date, especially for quota species as most didn't open (or are not prime) until Dec.1. This year I will have most of my quota animals caught, put up and in first sale....along with a lot more Coyotes (which I think was NAFA's point). Now we just wait and see if they pull a fast one again and not offer all the fur like last season.

I also was happy to see the dates and the fact that everything will be offered, just like the feb sales used to be.

Wow! What a great picture! And you started late so they are all nice and prime. Nice paycheque right there.

I’m happy that the receiving is January gives a guy a chance to get some prime fur in.

Nice pic too. Your coyotes caught on your trapline with the marten , lynx and fisher or caught in the farmland?

No they are farmland coyotes. Trapline has been slow this year for K9s.

Really like the dates for this year too. Every season I set goal for myself, and I have more coyotes ready to be send on the first auction than I thought. So I'm really happy. The ones that I skinned and fleshed this week will be for the second one. I'm really optimistic for the first auction, I wish that we will not be disappointed. Keep up the good works guys !

Do you see any difference in marten at the first auction vs second?
Due to timing I’ve only ever put in second auction

I haven’t noticed much difference between the first two but have been stung on the last one.
