Default Grayling near slave lake

Howdy! I'm going be overnighting in slave lake on Sunday and I've never caught a grayling before. I'm only going to have a few hours, probably in the evening, and to be honest I'm not even 100% sure there are grayling in the general area. It's a rare opportunity for me that I'm hoping to cash in on.

So first question. Are there grayling nearby? I know there are further north in the wabasca but I'm not going to be able to get that far in my limited time.

Second question. Any suggestions where to go? Just a compass direction and a "look for creeks" would be a huge headstart for me!

Tight lines

This should give you some ideas. Not sure if you do try to catch any but be sure to use barbless hooks if you do. Might be closed to fishing for them. Try calling Slave lake F&W office to learn more. You can dial 310-0000 toll free and ask to be connected to F&W there.

Thanks! I always run barbless and release everything I catch.
