Default Cardinal River access

Hello,

Haven’t fished the Cardinal in years. Thought I’d go out and have a look in the next few weeks for old times sake. I am limited by vehicle though (front wheel drive car as the truck is elsewhere). Anyone fish out there recently/often? If so, is the road coming off the divide or up from Brazeau passable for my crumby import car? Last time I was there (7+ years ago) the road was in rough shape.

Thanks in advance.

The road just east of the Cardinal divide below the switchback is washed out and not passable with a car. If coming from Rob or Brazeau it would be doable in a front wheel drive car, you’d just have to be slow going on the last bit and dodge the deeper holes.
