Default No1 long spring capabilities?

Hypothetically, would a new no1 longspring trap hold a big feral tomcat?

You will have a wreck using the long spring. Use the cage trap and blend it into a log pile, bush pile or a bunch of what ever is sitting around. Cover trap so it looks like a tunnel going thru. Hang bait in back of trap so he can’t just grab it an run. I will sometimes put a couple small pieces of bait outside the trap in the tunnel. When he sees he can get these pieces safely he will feel a little safer and will enter the other end of the tunnel and into the cage trap.
