Default Cold Lake 2019-2020 Ice and Fishing Reports

That time of year again.

Any locals give us an update on ice status?

Let's have a safe season filled with big fish!!!

Attached is my best catch from last season. This years goal is over 100cm.

cold has frozen over the marina ice is crap the PP has 5-6 ' of ice at ramp not so good They are fishing at Frenchmens 85 ft of water 8' of ice ok for walk ons sleds and quads if careful. and you can get to the sand bar by way of the slough.

the season has started good luck and be careful

Anyone travelling the shore around French bay? Was thinking of going along the shore with a skidoo and then walking out into deeper water if there’s reports of 8”

Thanks

I didn't do too much exploring but there are some rough patches and one smaller pressure ridge that I could see.

there is one pressure ridge that is cutting the marina and the PP from each other. there is a long crack out from the PP ramp heading towards garnet one day it is closed the next about 2" open with a little top water. fishing a little slow but not to bad.
