Default My latest project

1981 Winchester model 70 7mm Rem mag.

Was purchased to be a winter project...but you know how that goes.

Stripped original finish, steamed out all dents and dings. ( One small hole to fill my front sling bolt.) Bedded action and applied T.L.C. with a few grades of sand paper. Custom fit a limbsaver recoil pad. ( Again lots of sanding involved to make smooth transition from pad to stock. Birchwood Casey refinishing products ( No true oil though...I prefer a more flat finish) May get a couple more coats of wax... Lastly all metal was redone ( bead blasted and hot tank blued) Mounted the optics this evening Bushnell Tactical 6.5 x 24 x 50.

Can't wait to try her out and see how well she performs

Nice job!
Did you do the blueing yourself? If so what chemicals did you use?
