Default Load development windy range day?

So ive finially loaded up my first ever set of rounds. My first reloads and first reloads for this old gun 300savage. Its around an hour and half for me to drive to my shooting area. Everytime ive ever been out there it usually windy. Should i just shoot and ignore wind as long as its fairly constant. What if its gusty? Can you load develop with a 50 yard indoor range? This is by no means a sniper rifle just looking for which load weight works with this bullet. I am not even comparing different powders or bullet seating as its an old lever. IMG_2680.jpg

Sit tight.

There’s no need to be flogging components in load development, in sketchy conditions. Preferably calm conditions are what you want for load development.

It’s not like you’re trying to figure out or practice your wind doping skills.

Yup wouldn’t waste my time in the wind. No such thing as consistent wind. I always wait for dead calm evening or mornings.

I like to practise in the wind - I only do load development when the condition are dead calm.

Sometimes went I leave for the range it is dead calm but when I get there 25 minutes later there is wind

Other times when it is windy at home and I go to the range to shoot clay and when I get there it is dead calm

Now when I go to sight or work up a load, I take my 20 and/or a .22 so my trip is partly worth while.

Other times when I just know that the conditions are perfect at the range I have a honey do list that keeps me from shooting.

Yeah, I too don't bother in less than ideal conditions when I'm doing load development.
