Tie Lake Ice Fishing

Hi all, my buddy invited my son and I out for a weekend in Jan to his cabin on Tie lake in BC. Was shocked to find out this lake is filled with largemouth bass! Anybody here have any luck going after them through the ice? Not looking for any honey holes, but any tips would be appreciated. Cheers!

I've never targeted them in winter on this lake, but the locals say it's not easy. I've had great success with Perch through the ice though .

I've fished that lake lots.....and others in that area.

I found Bass do not bite in the winter though.
Not saying you will not catch any though...

Are the perch of any size? Do they still have pumpkinseed there? I fished there about 10 years ago in the summer and had a blast pulling up sunfish after sunfish.

I caught some pumpkinseed this summer, but they're definitely not abundant. There are some decent Perch in the lake but the majority of the population is stunted.
