Not fur friendly.
I've actually gotten less pelt damage from controlled expansion big game bullets in this calibre.
Regardless the 25'06 will damage a pelt to some degree.

Can't say that I've played around with very many different bullet types/weights but I have given up on my 25-06 for coyotes......it does a great job, especially at the distances but too much fur damage.

I bought a .204 late last winter and so far am very happy with it.....only shot 5 coyotes with it but so far, so good.

They are hard on hides. 2 of the 3 I've shot w/ that bullet have had baseball sized exits. Puts them down fast though.
