Yah know....
If you dont have any use for it, I am sure the Alberta Trap shooters hall of fame would appreciate it.

Even if you dont want to donate it, I am sure they could help you figgure it out.

I will Email this page to Gert, perhaps he could help.

Thanks Jamie...if I could figure it out I might have a use for it. the way dad talked it was a lot of fun to play with and he wasn't even a shooter

I though for sure some people on this board would have seen one before

Used one when I was a kid, think it was Webley or Milbro, uses starter pistol blanks. It shot the old style pop cans (empty) with the crimp on both ends, don'y know if it will be any good with the molded bottom on today's cans.

50.
I found out today that what Unregistered said is the truth. They are made for "old school" pop cans.

I wonder if some aerosol cans would be of the right diameter, would be a great way to recycle by blowing them to hell. When you launched a can with one of these, it turned the flat bottom concave much like an aerosol anyway, and even though there was greater volume, they seemed to fly the same amount.

Default machine shop?

50BMG

I don't know how bad you want to use the device, but a few minutes at a machine shop might be worthwhile for you.

Have a machinist look at it and see if it is possible to retrofit an adaptor of some sort to clamp on to the existing part to allow you to shoot off modern pop/beer cans. They might be able to make it out of aluminum, steel or even one of the modern plastic materials.

I have had machinists do the odd job for me over the years and was pleased with the results. Most machinists can think "outside the box" and should be able to let you use your toy again.

Good Luck . . .

Thanks Soreneck ...never thought of that.

Jamie..actually the new pop cans have quite a bit smaller diameter thant the old ones. There is about 3/8 of an inch of a gap all the way around when I put a new can in..paying more getting less...same old same old
