can you believe this?
Good evening all
so we have a very sizeable mule deer population on our property. My daughter also has a very sizeable market garden that is protected from said mule deer by a 6 wire electric fence that works very well. However she has another garden that has vegetables in it that deer don't bother, spuds, cucumbers and last but not least,a acre of garlic. The last few years nothing has been touched but last night,a old mule deer doe has decided that garlic is the green of choice. This rotten old bag chewed on 14 garlic plants last night and this morning,if she keeps it up I'm sure she will self season with all the garlic she's eating.Imagine a deer that does not need anything other than cooking...maybe this isn't so bad after all

Do you think that old girl even knows that there is a nice luscious pea field close by?

Hope she isn't a lead doe. If other deer see her eating garlic they might decide to try it too.
When I kept a big garden two years in a row I had coyotes eat all my carrots in one night. Two 20 foot rows of mature carrots. Probably 40 lbs. or more. All the carrot tops were by the dug up rows and coyote tracks all over.

We have a Mule Doe that drops by almost daily.
We have a 4LT water dish the wife keeps by her green house for her Cats. Doe drains it dry when dropping by.
Darn thing also went into the Green House (12'x20') all the way in & topped all the Raspberries new growth that came up.
Didn't touch her Tomatoes though.

Think I can put a 12 gauge flair in those trip alarms and attach it to my gate in the city when I’m gone camping?
