Default Deer numbers are looking up!

Well me and my buddy went out on our first real scouting night.Deer numbers are looking up.Nothing like they were 3 or 4 years ago but much better than last year.We watched 17 mule bucks and 11 white tail bucks. No I am not going to say where......LOL
Just nice to see them actually rebounding after the last couple brutal winters.
Anyone else notice more deer after the easy winter?

I would say numbers are better than last year and really they were never that bad in most areas. The problem is that it was the older top 20% age class that got killed off and it is going to take a couple years to start seeing as many older trophy class bucks around. There will still be some of course but it has been harder finding them the last couple years due to the older 5-7 year olds getting wiped out. I have a couple taxidermist friends that I talk to quite often and not many good deer have come in for the last 2 years. That is my 2 cents.
