Willmore Drop Camp Raffle "WINNER"

I talked to Dwayne just minutes ago and he was pretty surprised. I am looking forward to meeting him in person he seems like a real nice person.

Thanks so much to all of you that bought tickets. Also to this forum (AO) for allowing us to advertise our raffle.

Many thanks as well to Tonyd, Diamond dave, Turbomulcher, Sugar Creek and Bearen09 for selling tickets for us your efforts are much appreciated.

Unofficially we sold 351 tickets so it has been a huge success and time permitting I would like to do it again next year.

I am heading to Northern Saskatchewan to our fishing camp ASAP so I may or may not be available till the 17th. I do have my phone so will be checking back till I lose reception after LaRonge.

A mountain hunt for elk and sheep has been a dream of mine for a very long time So any advice, tips, or suggestions would be great. Finally back from the fishing trip and thought I should give the run down on the draw.

Draw time ended up being 12:25 and was performed in the lunch room at Horizon school in Olds.

The student pulling the winning ticket was Brett and was executed in front of several witnesses including another member of the Horizon Parent Society.

A second and third ticket were drawn as back ups in the event the winner could not be contacted or located.

The Raffle grossed back $8775 and will net around $8000 after expenses (I am only charging back fuel, ticket printing and stationary/stamps).

The proceeds will directly fund the school's Lunch Program, Swim Program, portions of selected Field Trips and equipment purchases.

Thanks again everyone who purchased tickets and to Alberta Outdoorsmen Forum for posting all the threads promoting this event.

I am hoping to have the time to run this raffle again next year but am quite certain we will be doing a FLY IN FISHING TRIP RAFFLE to our northern Saskatchewan camp.
