Red face Red Deer River

hey guys n gals, im thinking about heading up to the red deer river for a little fishing trip. i live in the hat so ill be heading north up the 41 till i hit the river. any good spots up there or special tackle i should take with me, or any advice at all?? thanks in advance

red devil, 5 of diamonds yellow and red, mostly anything yellow, worms/leeches (if bait is permitted). Don't venture into cranks much but I'm sure someone can share a good one for that river.

Just started fly fishing and the only thing I used was a wooly bugger in black and it was hit and miss. the wife was upstream of me using worms and she out fished me 3 to 1...but that could be, in part, due to my fly skills
