Default Ice fishing saw - anyone have one and which is the best?

Thinking of getting and ice saw. Anyone have one and can share their experience, likes and dislikes?

I can’t speak for any other saw. I have one it’s the blue one icesaw.com , cabelas had them on sale last spring I used it once this season. It cut really nice. I noticed that if you catch the saw tooth on the ice edge and it jams you could bend the blade. I did not bend mine but I notised Weibe on uncut angling has a bent blade on his saw and I’m guessing that’s what happend. Weibe also pushed the block under the ice and that could bend the blade. They are aluminum blades I do believe.

If you want to take a look at it your welcome to.

How big a hole do you have to cut into the ice with some other tool before you can use the saw?

If the ice is under 6” you can chip a hole with the saw them stark stroking. If it thicker than 6 inch it would take a bit of chipping but doable. Most guys use it in conjunction with a regular auger. Guy could find like a 4” auger and just pop a quick hole and away you go.
