Default Gull Lake Walleye

I still have tags to fill.Went 7 times this winter to try to find them without any success I tried deep, I tried shallow , tried many different lures, tried early, tried late , used camera and flasher but couldn't find them

Any help/ advice where to find them would be greatly appreciated

If you can find structure - it seems to hold walleye in that lake. There are a few places but you gotta drill holes and find the steep slope. That seems to be the only places I find them myself.

they will be starting to stage for spawning now, find those areas and you should be golden. Look for gravelly bottom

Fast steep drop offs, and spots with boulders or where it's changing from sandy to rocky. Seems to be good travel corridors for them. Also like all fish, find a spot the above water ground pokes out into the water. Years ago I heard "make a point off a point" and set up there. I start drilling till I find my depth and giver her a go. Google maps, and a googled depth chart of the lake can really help. Where the lines are really close together means a faster steeper drop. Then with your camera check out what is down there, if it's completely barren sand and nothing else I'd move even 50 yards and check it out again. In my experience those spots see substantially less action all day. My most success is when I'm moving around and active instead of setting up the hut and holding tight all day. I've had decent luck twisting a small minnow onto a green 1/8" jig head. I also got a little one last weekend on a pickerel rig. Hope this helps

Guess I should have also mentioned, I usually find in the 20 foot depth and more usually but have seen some in 16 feet range.
