I might not agree a 100% with him, but this is what is called a leader.

He will be assassinated.

There is too much money at stake for the powers that be to just let this happen.

Or it could a smoke screen.

There are only two possibilities.

We all know businesses that say one thing in public and do the opposite behind closed doors. The Donald is first and foremost a business man.

It would not be surprising if it turned out that he cut a deal with big business before he even ran for office. They do it all the time.

But at this point all we can do is wait and watch and hope.

Yes ,
A businessman
Not a politician.

Just have to look at our own governments to see what happens behind closed doors.

I don't recall Notley running a campaign on for a Carbon Tax.

This is all about playing identity politics and creating huge voter blocs of easily manipulated brainwashed low information usefull idiot's.

Common communist tactic, deflection, subversion and projection of their evil deeds on to their opposition is what they resort to when cornered with facts, they will then accuse YOU of being the racist sexist homophobic anti semitic fecal matter eating monster.

This is where the push to destroy freedom of speech is coming from, how can you fight an enemy that you are forbidden to speak of?, furthermore how do you organize a resistance and spread awareness to those still under the spell of the media?

I wonder what happens when the average consumer in the USA has to pay for those "Made in America" or tariff prices for their goods?

I guess he uses the paycheck he didn't have before. Do you think Americans starved and lived under bridges before their jobs went to Mexico, Asia etc.?

I don't have the answers. I just don't think a few million jobs, if that, will placate the masses. Maybe it will, but I doubt it.

I'm not sure, but I know I'd be willing to pay more for goods that last more than a couple of years, let alone a few months. 30 years ago you would buy something that would last at least a decade! I would hope that products made in the USA again would be of better quality.

I buy Canadian first, then First World when I can, yes it costs more but is generally better quality. But will the masses?

Oh.

So you're better than the masses?

I agree with your purchasing strategy. At one time buying Canadian or U.S. made products was easy. Now products are made offshore so they can be cheap but with the manufacturing went North American jobs. Suddenly with our economy on a downhill runaway, that doesn't seem like such a great plan.

If we are going down the wrong road, maybe we need to adjust our course. The new course may appear rough, but we will be heading in the right direction.

I don't think I'm better than anyone, thank you very much. I would say I am atypical in that I don't have any debt. So yes I can afford the luxury of buying the quality I want.

At minimum there is a lot more going on than we will know. He is gathering worshippers at an amazing rate. But he is deserving of them so far.

So far so good. In a few years hopefully we can elect someone who cares about Canada and freedom.

I too would rather spend more and buy something which was made in North America. The Chinese can keep their garbage. Although they are learning the meaning of "quality". I'd say that in a decade, we shall see high quality products out of China. their cost will be on par with that of the merchandise produced in the Western world. They do have to pay more money to the skilled "slaves"...
Afterall, Japan could barely produce a ceramic mug until US intervention after after WW2 and W.E. Deming.

I have to admit for now what he is doing looks very good.
But I've learned not to trust politicians or big business.

History shows they almost always have a hidden agenda which seldom has anything to do with what's good for the people and every thing to do with what's good for them and their friends.

But I am hoping that this time it will be different. Like it was when Ralph Klein was first elected.

Although the cost of goods will go up, so will the income and earning potential of the middle class.

I cannot speak for all, but I think most people would rather have a job, than buying cheap material possessions with a welfare or EI check

You are talking about normal people with self respect. Liberal are trying their best to destroy those people.
