Razor for the bald guys....How are you Bic'ing your lid?
The last couple of threads have had great info about double edge razors and razor clubs.
But I think that has been more for face shaving than the head.
I've been shaving my head for 10 years now and have tried a few different ones over the years, but ultimately I end up with what ever new and approved Gillette product that comes along.
Anyone have a good alternative?

Tried the DE last summer on my noggin. Lots of blood!
I stick with a Gillette 3 blade disposable for up top now but use the double edge on the face.

Bald eagle cordless trimmer, been using it every day for almost a year now. Works awesome, wet or dry. Closest thing to a normal razor shave in 1 minute per day. Goes up to 3 weeks on a single charge too

Headblade
I use the original headblade. The newer model doesn't get close enough. Haven't found anywhere here that carries them so get them from the states. They are awesome. Designed specifically for shaving your head.

I've tried just about everything myself to get my head shaved down to the skin like I was born that way, and nothing works. I'd rather be bald than look like Friar Tuck.
I always end up with peach fuzz no matter how close I can get.
A old-fashioned barber can do it, but after a couple of weeks I'd have peach fuzz again and get to spend more money.
Isn't there ANYTHING?!?
I'm almost tempted to try NEET and lots of Nivea cream to stop the burning, but I don't have the courage - yet.
Can anyone else help...?

Straight razor. Just don't run your head along the edge... lol Never have to worry about it jamming full of hair either...

I've heard of those. Where in Edmonton could I find one? Or are they only online.

I had one of those in the early years when you could get one at Shoppers DrugMart but I found myself hacking my self more, on the back of the head.
I do agree that they are awesome. But I don't think suited to my individual means.

Yeah,
After a few hours , i too have the peach fuzz going. I tend to shave every 3 days or so, but would prefer a smooth scalp for awhile longer.
Not sure that Neet would be a good idea.
I do wonder how some guys appear to have really smooth scalps at all times.

I've been using this the short handle really helps with my bad shoulder. Blades are not as sharp as my Gillette but as long as I use it every day it keeps my dome nice and smooth.

I've only found the bald eagle online. Think I got mine in amazon. Mine is called bald eagle smart, first blade lasted about 6 months using it daily.

I've heard from a guy who did that that he shaved it every 3 days, and he was very fair headed. Almost like a Targarian on GOT. He used some kind of wax to keep the hair from showing for a few days.

Just like mowing the lawn. Put on a number 1 and keep buzzing until it's all the same length. About once a month or sooner if possible. Way less work. GN

Very rarely do I shave my head down that far. I get my wife to use clippes with no gaurd once every 2-3 weeks. The last time I went right to nothing it was back in just a couple of days, my head feeling like a velcro stick. The feeling of getting it done and later in the day was great. I had it done at a barber shop, but the hair on the side of my head and face grows a little faster than average.
