Stiring the POOP pot
Was just reading the hunting threads there is one about Hunting without a PAL. its 3 pages long. Then there is another with a question about a native hunting without it. it was closed in under 10 posts. no negative comments that I see.
So tell me why is this.
My opinion is There is a Mod That get butt hurt every time some one says Indian, Native, Aboriginal,
This is the only forum I frequent free speech gets Trumped by a mods personal feelings

This forum is not a democracy.
It is a site provided by someone else, for your enjoyment.
Think of it like visiting at someone else's house, if you annoy the owner you get asked to change the subject or maybe even, get asked to simply leave.
Once you understand the above analogy, you will understand this site.

I would assume that since the Mods don't get paid to do what they do it's way easier to close the thread then spend countless hours cleaning it up and giving people time outs. It probably gets very tiring swinging the big hammer!

There is at least one post that was deleted from that thread, and there might well have been others. What you see isn't necessarily all that there was.

I wouldn't pick on the mods....it was a preemptive save by deleting a thread that was destined to fail....
It was not a matter of if but more when it would fail....they always do when that topic is raised.
Some folks should thank them for removing it....might have saved a suspension or two

Those of us that have been here for more than 50 posts have seen exactly where those threads go and I don't mean once in awhile either, it happens every time, it has nothing to do with any individual mod. They deleted my posts which is perfectly fine and all I was doing was telling them how to do their job,, I'd delete it too. It's their site to spend their own time to monitor people who say stuff on here that would never say it to people's faces or we all know what would happen. The inter tough is like that everywhere. I support the mods whole heatedly and they have had to " enlighten " me a couple times in the many years I've been here and for good reason too. No one makes anyone log in when you turn on your computer, so if you dont like the rules or the mods,,,carry one to the next site,, you won't be missed. By the way,,, my bet is this thread will go far enough south it will get locked too because the same two people that derailed the last one most likely will chime in here. Hope not but maybe.

Bingo.............. I had to look for the thread you speak of, I counted 19 derailed posts deleted. plus multiple PM's. The trouble is you guys and gals don't get to see a fraction of what goes on behind the scenes and let me say this, its over rated!
Having said all this, the next time you call a mod out will be the last day you post here. No threat, just a reality, it is NOT appreciated!!
