Opener is tomorrow here in Ontario, been scouting hard and figure we'll have atleast one bird in the AM between me and my dad. 2 bearded bird limit but can't be shot the same day, 1/2 hr before sunrise to 7 pm.

I was all packed up, tag/licence in hand and ready to go but came down with a nasty fever/flu and missed the trip. The boys did fine without me though. What a bummer. One of my favorite hunts of the year.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck- But there's still lots of time left. I'm heading down to Idaho for the 1st of May.

I went scouting in Southern Alberta on Saturday as the wife and I have tags. Still lots of snow but saw 4 strutting toms and 4 jakes.

Nice pics and good luck tagging a bird, i'll be setup by 5:45 am for our opener. Roosted 4 last night and spotted 1 gobbler on the roost 80 yrds from the road when I was leaving.

man that guy in the first picture looks like someone i know, but according to your location i don't think it would be him, as he lives a little northeast of red deer

Good luck in Idaho. If I do get a chance to go out it will be here in Alberta later in May to help a friend who drew a tag. I won't have another chance to get down to the US again as Tarpon fishing, Bear hunting and a little work occupy the first half of May.
