Default Last minute bear!!!

Was looking like another season roll by without folding a tag. But I told myself any decent bear was gonna get harvested for a fry up. Backstraps are always a bonus.

At 18:21 a buddy from GP txt me and said it seems I am picky with bears the way my son was picky with whitetails. I immediately said “challenge accepted.”

At exactly 18:23 I text him back and said bear down. He quickly replied **** off, really?

A nice boar came in huffing like crazy, smelling the sow estrus I had strategically placed.

5 yard shot. Bear made it 20 yards and moaned his last moan. Very fortunate to have friends and family harvest 6 bears off my 3 baits. I absolutely love everything about bear hunting and baiting, trail cams, the poplar leaves bursting out of bud.

Until next spring, aim small, miss small.

Nice job man. Hope you didn't have a knife accident that caused those missing fingers in pic 1.

No missing fingers. Just a salute to my kids while hunting to let em know Dad is thinking about them.
But kinda looks that way.

It was midnight and had to get moving

I'd say it was a very good season for you and your kin. Lots of toenails for everyone to hang around their necks.

Making hams, currently on the brine. Rendered down the fat off the last bear and got 6.5L of premium bear oil.

Really enjoying the bear meat lately. And the fat scruncheons w added montreal steak spice were unreal good. My poor heart tho

Congrats on the bear, he's a beauty. Your enthusiasm was definitely contagious this spring season, can't wait for fall.

No idea why we have 40,000 black bears and they do a cant get rid of the hide??? Most people want the meat and the skull that I know.

What is this rule all about? Imagine keeping a deer cape on a doe? I am not smart enough to get it I guess.
