Default Sandhill cranes

Was anyone successful in seeing and harvesting any Sandhill cranes last fall in Alberta?

Is there an Outfitter that guides for these large rib eyes of the sky?

I went to Saskatchewan last fall for a guided hunt.
I think the cost of the decoys and the luxury of having the birds spotted and the blinds set up when we arrived is well worth the cost.

We did a 2-day guided hunt last year on the eastern edge of the Alberta border with Alberta’s Fall Flight. Limited out both days. It was an amazing hunt so recommend doing one if you get a chance. My understanding is this guide is not doing sandhill again this year - perhaps he’ll know who is.

I was out by Edgerton visiting a friend for a few days
I limited every day on cranes
all I used was 12 big AL's silhouettes
set them up 50 yards to the side of the goose decoys
as well around home here in eastern Sask
i use them in conjunction with my big foot goose decoys
once the big geese see the crane decoys the geese loose all caution
come in like they are on a fishing line
its best to find a travel corridor for the cranes they are kinda stupid birds
to decoy
