Default Need some help with new berreta A300

Just picked up a new 12 gauge. I wanted to install the shim that comes with the gun but not sure how to get the recoil pad off as I can't see any screws. Thanks

I have not had a whole lot of time with my 300 but I do believe that you have to take it right apart. The screws and assembly for the shims should be right behind your trigger mechanism and will come apart by using some of the parts used as tools. Best of luck

What shims did you get with your gun. I had 2 choke tubes, the choke tool, a bag with a 1/2 " length of pull extension and four screws. Should there be more shims for cast and drop adjustments?

Remove the two screws, the recoil pad should come off. Put a drop of dishwashing liquid tip of a cross point screwdriver and probe the back of the recoil pad to find the small slits in the pad for access to the screwheads. A factory new pad will usually not show the slits for the screws untill it has been removed once or twice.

I got it. I asked before looking. Gun fits better now. Might bring it to calgary shooting centre and get the offset adjusted. Was close to getting the versamax but I have older A 303 which I love. So I passed up on 3 1/2 and stuck with what I know work for me in the past. My son gets the A 303 now.
