Default Shotgun slugs

I have a shotgun with an imp.cylider barrel that I should rifled slugs thru . I have been given a box of sabot slugs from a guy and I don't know if it is safe to shoot them in my gun . Are they to be used only in a rifled slug barrel ?

No issues with an IC and a Sabot.

the plastic sabot usually "grips" the rifling in the barrel or choke to stabilize the slug for better accuracy but no issues with shooting one through a smooth bore other than not as accurate as it could be with rifling.
