Anyone had problems with Cheddite shotshell primers not seating deep enough (28 gauge)
Primed all the used 28 gauge shells I have fired in sporting clays the last 4-5 weeks then spied a new box of 400 once fired AAHS pheasant shooter sent me a few months ago so decided to keep going.
About 30 shells in I noticed that some primers were not seating deep enough to allow them to fit into the next stage (powder wad and shot) so had to deprime them.
Used same box of primers in all my 12 gauge hulls some of which were also new once fired and no problem in the 12 gauge they all seated fine and flush.
I have heard Cheddite is 2 or 3 thou over sized but this is the first time I could not get them to seat flush!

It is probably the plastic at the bottom of the pocket that is preventing the seat and not the size of the primer. PM sent.
